Worka Chelbesa is a renowned coffee region located in Gedeb Woreda, Ethiopia. This area boasts ideal geographic and weather conditions for coffee cultivation. Its lush forests, banana crops, and shade trees create a perfect environment for growing high-quality coffee. The shade provided by these trees not only protects the coffee plants from harsh sunlight but also promotes biodiversity, making Chelbesa an excellent example of agroecology in coffee farming. A total of 763 farmers deliver their cherries to the Chelbesa station, contributing to the region's reputation for producing exceptional coffee.
The coffee farmers in Worka Chelbesa are deeply committed to their craft. Many of them have been cultivating coffee for generations, using traditional farming methods passed down through their families. After harvesting the cherries, the farmers transport them to the Chelbesa station.
